Russ’s vision for the music video of “How Long” was to capture the difference of intimate moments with his lover to moments of reflection. To achieve this, we created a Mid- Century Modern look giving the set a homey, comforting feel with scenes of Russ and his partner enjoying dinner, playing games and creating memories together. In contrast, to showcase him alone, we created a world where the house was bare and cold. Additionally, tying back into the hourglass shown in the first clip, we created a sand mound on a green screen for VFX to use and put Russ in the hourglass at the end.
